1. STARTING YOUR AQUASCOOTER
Do not let your aquascooter sit in the hot sun, trunk of your car, or bilge of your boat if it is hot. This will cause vapors from the fuel tank to be forced into the air chamber causing a flooded situation that will prevent your aquascooter from starting.
If your aquascooter does not start, check your air chamber for a flooding condition. The air chamber will be rich in gas vapor and possibly have fuel sitting in the bottom of the chamber. If you find this condition dump out the fuel from the air chamber and blow fresh air into the chamber until all signs of fuel vapors are gone.
2. OIL
Unlike other 2 cycle engines Aquascooter is the
only engine to run cold. 2 cycle oils are formulated for hot running
engines. Therefore the only oil that is formulated for Aquascooters
unique cold running requirements is the Aquascooter special 2 cycle oil at
100:1. Because Aquascooters run cold other oils will not lubricate
properly, cause excessive wear, foul plugs and smoke.
3. AT THE END OF EACH DAY
Remove the snorkel and pour out any water that
has collected in the air chamber. Install carry cap on air chamber and
rinse off engine with fresh water. Dry engine and spray all metal parts
with WD-40 to protect your engine until it's next use. Start engine for
10 seconds, speed it up and choke it off to stop engine. This will coat
the inside of the engine with a protective oil coating. NEVER RUN ENGINE
DRY OF FUEL, THIS WILL BURN OFF THE COATING. On the Aquascooters last use
of the season STABILIZE THE FUEL.
4. WATER IN ENGINE
Never leave water in engine.. Consult owners manual for removal.
5. EXHAUST VALVE.
Must be replaced every year.
